Children's Data and Privacy Online: Information Commissioner's Office Grants Programme
The relevance of the data protection issue has drawn attention to a topical point related to it, which is children's online safety. The project led by LSE Professor Sonia Livingstone in 2018 and 2019 has brought to significant outcomes as regards children's conception of privacy online, their capacity to consent and their understanding of the online environment, including both its interpersonal and its commercial dimension.
