NOBA is an OER repository specialized in psychology. You will need to signi in to download existing OER and to be part of its learning community. Once you’re a registered user of the NOBA website you’ll have free access to a large and growing collection of fascinating modules from across the broad spectrum of psychology. More than 100 leading academics from around the world have contributed to the collection, with each one focusing on his or her particular area of expertise. It’s a wealth of information and insight that you’re unlikely to get from any other introductory source, regardless of the cost. Just as importantly, NOBA is designed to allow you to shape the learning experience. Unlike a standard textbook, topics within NOBA can be arranged and explored in any number of combinations. Anyone – instructors, students or independent users - can create customized collections of modules to use and share with others.
All Noba materials are licensed through Creative Commons. We encourage you to share and distribute Noba anywhere and with anyone. You’re also welcome to remix, transform, and build upon the original work.
If you prefer, Noba has created a number of “Ready-Made” textbooks for you to use as-is or customize to suit your needs. You’ll find ready-made books focused on the basics of intro-to-psych as well as books on Psych as a Biological Science, Psych as a Social Science, and more.
NOBA is meant to be different in ways that matter. And we hope you’ll agree that it’s a welcome departure from the traditional, static, and expensive textbook model.
