Nel 1998 Daniel Goleman pubblicò il suo primo articolo sull'intelligenza emotiva e la leadership rispondendo alla domanda "What Makes a Leader?". Iniziò a parlare dell'importanza dell'empatia nel rendere la leadership efficace e introdusse il concetto di "intelligenza sociale". La novità fu studiare il funzionamento cerebrale di questo tipo d'intelligenza facendo riferimento al lavoro dei neuroscienziati sui "neuroni specchio": neuroni implicati in comportamenti pratici e socialmente intelligenti capaci di rafforzare i collegamenti neurali tra un leader e i suoi seguaci.
L'articolo, scritto dagli psicologi Daniel Goleman e Richard E. Boyatzis, è stato pubblicato sull' "Harvard Business Review".

profile. The information available on forums and reviews is generated by users/consumers and provides relevant data for travel planning.
